Templeton, CA (August 4, 2025) – The northbound side of U.S. Highway 101 was closed near the exit to San Anselmo Road due to a crash on Monday, August 4, in the Templeton area, the California Highway Patrol said.
A collision around 10:40 a.m. resulted in lane closures and delays, authorities said. California Highway Patrol troopers requested an ambulance at the site of the incident, though it's unclear how many vehicles or victims were involved. Traffic in the area was briefly impacted while responders worked to clear the roadway and assisted the injured. However, the investigation remains ongoing.
Our thoughts are with the children and all families affected, and we wish those injured a full recovery.
North California's busy roadways see a wide range of traffic incidents each year, including collisions that involve young passengers. In one recent year alone, over 250,000 injury crashes were reported across the entire Golden State. Crashes involving children are especially concerning, as even seemingly minor impacts can result in serious injuries due to their smaller size and vulnerability.
