South Los Angeles, CA - Motorcyclist Killed in Collision with SUV on Beach St

South Los Angeles, CA (June 28, 2025) – A motorcyclist lost their life Friday evening following a collision with an SUV in South Los Angeles. The fatal accident occurred at approximately 7:25 p.m. on June 27 near the intersection of Beach Street and Firestone Boulevard.

According to dispatch reports, the crash involved a motorcycle and a gray Toyota RAV4. Witnesses told authorities that the impact forced the SUV onto the sidewalk while the motorcyclist was left unresponsive in the roadway. Emergency responders arrived within minutes and performed CPR, but despite their efforts, the rider was pronounced dead at the scene.

California Highway Patrol officers and local police secured the area and set up a hard closure from Beach Street at Firestone Boulevard down to Beach Street at Graham Avenue while they conducted their investigation. Two evidence tows were requested to remove both the motorcycle and the SUV involved.

The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office was notified and responded to the crash site later that evening. The cause of the accident remains under investigation as officers work to determine what factors contributed to this incident. No additional injuries were reported.
