DUI-related collisions remain a serious problem on roads across California. In this case, the crash near Corby and Bellevue Avenues serves as a stark reminder of the dangers posed by impaired driving. When a driver operates a vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol, they risk not only their own safety but also the lives of others on the road. The two people injured in this collision were fortunate to sustain only minor injuries, but many others are not so lucky.
Drugs and alcohol impair a driver’s ability to make sound judgments, react to road hazards, and operate a vehicle safely. In addition to the physical harm caused in accidents, DUI offenses often result in legal consequences, including arrest and prosecution.
