Yolo Co., CA – Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle on NB I-5 Near Yolo Causeway

Yolo County, CA (October 22, 2025) – Authorities responded to a serious pedestrian-involved collision on Tuesday evening, October 21, on northbound Interstate 5 near the Yolo Causeway. According to California Highway Patrol (CHP) dispatch reports, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while traveling along the interstate, prompting an immediate emergency response from officers and medical personnel.

Units from the CHP Woodland Division were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of a person down on the roadway. Upon arrival, first responders located the injured pedestrian along the shoulder of northbound I-5. Paramedics provided medical aid and began Advanced Life Support (ALS) treatment before transporting the victim to a nearby hospital. The condition of the injured individual has not yet been disclosed.

Officers closed portions of the northbound lanes to allow emergency crews to operate safely and to conduct an initial investigation. The area surrounding the Yolo Causeway remained partially restricted for an extended period as responders documented the crash site and cleared the roadway of debris.
