Whittier, CA – Boom-Lift Truck Strikes 6 Parked Vehicles at Myers Rd & Imperial Hwy

Whittier, CA (September 28, 2025) – Authorities responded on Saturday morning, September 27, after a boom-lift work truck struck several parked vehicles in Whittier, leaving the driver and at least one other individual injured.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) and Los Angeles County Fire Department reported that the crash occurred between 1:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. near the intersection of Myers Road and Imperial Highway. According to CHP, the incident involved a single truck that collided with six unoccupied parked vehicles.

Witnesses stated that after the initial impact, the driver attempted to free the truck by rocking it back and forth despite one of the damaged cars being pinned to the front bumper. The vehicle eventually moved across the street, but neighbors intervened and managed to pull the driver from the cab.

Reports further indicated that the driver attempted to flee the scene on foot. He broke away from those restraining him and entered a nearby water canal, where he fell down an embankment and sustained injuries. Emergency crews arrived shortly after and transported the driver, along with at least one other injured individual, to a local hospital for treatment. Officials have not released details regarding the conditions of those hospitalized.

The crash is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether impairment or other factors contributed to the incident.

We extend our thoughts and best wishes to those injured in this crash, hoping for their full recovery.
