Tulare County, CA (December 18, 2024) – Fresno County Cal Fire stopped to render aid after spotting a car crash on their way to help crews in Southern California.
According to Cal Fire, their crews were en route to Temecula on Monday when they stopped to provide critical care after coming across a major accident on Highway 99 in Tulare County.
Photographs from the scene show crew members using the Jaws of Life, a hydraulic rescue tool, to open the passenger door of one of the vehicles involved. Authorities have not yet released information regarding the number of individuals injured or the severity of their injuries; however, the California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident to determine the cause of the collision.
