Sun Valley, CA (March 20, 2025) – Further details were released after one person was killed in a crash in the San Fernando Valley involving a box truck and vehicle, according to officers on Thursday.

The deadly, multi-vehicle collision occurred just before 7:00 p.m. March 18 in the 8700 block of Lankershim Boulevard, near the 5 Freeway in Sun Valley. Surveillance footage from a nearby business captured a silver two-door coupe traveling northbound on Lankershim Boulevard when the driver suddenly appeared to lose control, swerving into southbound lanes of traffic where a large box truck smashes into it.
