Santa Maria, CA - Two Killed in Three-Vehicle Accident on Clark Ave

Santa Maria, CA (December 18, 2024) – A second person has died after a crash that occurred near Santa Maria on Monday, according to local officers.

Troopers with the California Highway Patrol said three cars collided on Clark Avenue, east of the Orcutt area, on Monday afternoon. Officers added that a passenger was pronounced dead at the scene after getting hit by oncoming traffic.

The other two victims were transported to Marion Hospital, where one of those patients later died, confirmed Scott Safechuck with Santa Barbara County Fire. The drivers of the other two vehicles were uninjured.

The identities of the deceased will not be released until all relatives have been informed. That said, per officials, the investigation continues at this time, and no further details were provided in the interim.
