San Mateo County, CA (August 11, 2025) – A motorcyclist was injured in a crash involving a truck on La Honda Road, east of Stage Road, in San Mateo County on Saturday, August 9. The collision occurred in the afternoon, and the motorcyclist suffered moderate to major injuries.
According to Cal Fire, emergency responders, including the San Mateo County Fire Department, La Honda Fire Brigade, the California Highway Patrol, and the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, all arrived at the scene. The motorcyclist was transported by ambulance to a landing zone before being flown to a local trauma hospital by helicopter for medical treatment.
The extent of the motorcyclist’s injuries remains unclear, and authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash.
