San Luis Obispo, CA (June 11, 2025) – A man has died after a crash involving a trailer carrying an asphalt paving machine in Fresno County on Wednesday morning, June 11.
The crash happened just before 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Mountain View and Clovis Avenues, just west of the city of Selma. CHP officers say a 24-year-old man from Visalia was driving a Toyota Camry west on Clovis Avenue, and a 39-year-old Fresno County employee was driving the truck east on Mountain View Avenue, when the two collided. The collision sent both cars off the roadway and into a nearby orchard.
The Visalia man was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. The county employee was not injured. Alcohol or drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash. Authorities are investigating the incident, and no further details have been released at this time, however. Witnesses were asked to step forward.
Distracted driving, excessive speed, impaired motorists, and countless other forms of negligence cause thousands of collisions across California each year, leaving victims to confront steep medical expenses, lost income, and emotional upheaval. If you have been hurt in a crash—whether a two-car fender bender or a major pile-up—you do not have to shoulder the burden alone. Countrywide Trial Lawyers is prepared to guide you through every stage of the recovery process.
The days after a wreck can feel overwhelming. Emergency-room bills arrive before you can catch your breath, insurers press for quick settlements, and the stress of pain and missed work takes its toll. Our legal team steps in immediately to relieve that pressure. We conduct a thorough investigation—collecting police reports, interviewing witnesses, analyzing crash-scene evidence, and consulting accident-reconstruction professionals—to build a solid foundation for your claim. While we handle the paperwork, phone calls, and negotiations, you can focus on getting the medical care you need.
Insurance companies often try to minimize payouts, especially in complex multi-vehicle crashes where each driver’s role can be disputed. Because California follows comparative-fault rules, even a small shift in liability percentages can mean a significant difference in compensation. Our attorneys know how to counter these tactics, presenting clear evidence of the other parties’ negligence and documenting the full scope of your losses, including future treatment costs, diminished earning capacity, and the personal toll of pain and suffering. If adjusters refuse a fair settlement, we are ready to present your case in court.
For these reasons and more, immediate action is required to protect your legal rights. When it comes to personal injury claims, the statute of limitations in the state of California is two years from the date of the incident. Consultation with an experienced auto accident attorney as soon as possible is necessary to successfully navigate the complexities of cases involving many vehicles involved in a collision and to ensure that you receive adequate compensation for your losses.
