San Jose, CA (September 26, 2025) – A deadly crash involving a motorcycle and a car left one person dead and a juvenile injured on September 25 in San Jose.
The San Jose Police Department reported the collision occurred around 8:05 p.m. near the intersection of Branham Lane and Jarvis Avenue. Responding officers and emergency crews found both the motorcycle and the car with significant damage.
The motorcyclist sustained major injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Despite lifesaving efforts, the rider was later pronounced dead. Police have not yet released the victim’s identity.
A juvenile riding in the car suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was also taken to the hospital for treatment. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated fully with investigators.
Authorities closed Branham Lane between Robb Drive and Jarvis Avenue for several hours while traffic investigators worked to reconstruct the crash. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
We extend our sincere condolences to the family of the deceased victim.

Motorcycle crashes are often severe because riders have little protection compared to drivers in cars. Even when wearing helmets and protective gear, motorcyclists remain highly vulnerable to catastrophic injuries. Common injuries include traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord damage, and fractures.
San Jose has seen a rise in motorcycle accidents in recent years. Busy intersections such as Branham Lane and Jarvis Avenue present particular dangers due to heavy traffic, high speeds, and limited visibility. Left turn collisions and drivers failing to yield are frequent causes of motorcycle crashes in urban areas.
Sadly, many of these accidents result in fatalities, leaving families devastated by sudden loss. For survivors, the physical and emotional toll of a motorcycle crash can last a lifetime.
After a fatal motorcycle accident, families may pursue justice through our wrongful death attorney. Legal claims can help recover compensation for funeral expenses, loss of financial support, and the emotional suffering of surviving loved ones.
In cases where someone survives with serious injuries, victims may seek compensation through a personal injury claim. This can cover medical bills, rehabilitation costs, lost wages, and damages for pain and suffering.
Our skilled attorney can investigate the crash, work with accident reconstruction experts, and hold negligent drivers accountable. In situations where both a fatality and injuries occur, as in this case, legal claims may be filed on behalf of multiple victims.
