San Diego, CA (September 13, 2025) – A 39-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries on Wednesday evening, September 10, after being struck by a blue Toyota Prius while crossing the street in Pacific Beach, San Diego. The collision occurred around 7:41 p.m. on the 2500 block of Grand Avenue.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the man was crossing the street when the Prius, driven by a 48-year-old woman, struck him in the number one lane. The victim suffered severe injuries, including a spinal fracture, a brain bleed, a dislocated knee, and a collapsed lung. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
