San Diego, CA (August 11, 2025) – A 69-year-old man was hospitalized with serious injuries after being struck by a Jeep on Sunday, August 10, in the Midway area. The collision occurred shortly after noon in heavy traffic on the 3800 block of Camino del Rio West, according to the San Diego Police Department.
Authorities reported that the pedestrian was crossing the street and entered the #4 lane when he was struck by a Jeep Wrangler driven by a 34-year-old man. The force of the impact left the victim with a fractured pelvis and an open fracture to his right leg. The injuries were described as "serious," and the pedestrian was immediately transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment.
