San Diego, CA – Motorcyclist Injured in Collision on S 43rd St

San Diego, CA (September 13, 2025) – A motorcyclist sustained injuries on Thursday morning, September 11, after being struck by a vehicle in the Mountain View neighborhood of San Diego. The collision occurred around 8:17 a.m. in the 1400 block of South 43rd Street.

According to the San Diego Police Department, a 43-year-old man riding a purple Harley Davidson veered from the northbound number two lane into the number one lane when a dark-colored sedan overtook him from behind. The sedan passed on the left, then moved right, colliding with the motorcycle and causing the rider to fall.

The motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for a fractured right clavicle and abrasions to his right elbow. Authorities are working to gather more information regarding the incident and the driver of the sedan, who has not been identified.
