Pedestrian accidents continue to pose serious safety concerns across San Bernardino, particularly on roadways like West 48th Street, where residential areas intersect with through traffic. Collisions in these zones often occur when drivers fail to notice pedestrians crossing or walking along the roadway, especially during early morning or evening hours.
According to data from the California Office of Traffic Safety, pedestrian injuries and fatalities in San Bernardino County remain among the highest in the state. These incidents are frequently linked to excessive speed, distracted driving, and insufficient lighting in residential neighborhoods. Both drivers and pedestrians are encouraged to remain vigilant, obey all traffic laws, and ensure visibility when traveling after dark.
Injured pedestrians often face costly medical treatment, loss of income, and emotional trauma following such incidents. Legal assistance can help victims understand their rights, identify liable parties, and pursue compensation for damages, including medical bills, rehabilitation expenses, and other losses.
