San Bernardino, CA - Fatality Confirmed in Two-Car Crash on 215 Fwy at 5th St

San Bernardino, CA (April 14, 2025) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash that prompted a full closure of the southbound 215 Freeway at 5th Street in San Bernardino on Saturday morning, April 12.

According to the California Highway Patrol, at around 8:40 a.m., officers were dispatched to a crash involving a black Chevrolet Tahoe and a black Chevrolet sedan.  Emergency personnel responded to the scene and attempted life-saving efforts, but at least one person was pronounced dead. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.

The area was briefly shut down in the morning as crews responded to the crash, though the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
