Sacramento County, CA – Motorcyclist Dies After Major Crash on Sunrise Blvd

Sacramento County, CA (October 10, 2025) – A tragic collision involving a motorcycle and a car shut down a major section of Sunrise Blvd on Friday evening, resulting in the death of the motorcyclist.

According to the Rancho Cordova Police Department, the crash occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. on the southbound lanes of Sunrise Blvd, between Trade Center Dr and Sun Center Dr. Responding officers and emergency personnel found significant damage at the scene and immediately began rendering aid to the injured rider.

Officials from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the motorcyclist sustained severe injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the other vehicle involved remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. At this time, authorities have not released the identity of the victim pending family notification.

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office has not yet confirmed whether speed, impairment, or other contributing factors played a role in the collision. The investigation remains ongoing, and additional updates will be released as more information becomes available.
