Sacramento, CA (February 7, 2025) – Authorities reported that a woman involved in a crash along Interstate 80 in Sacramento County was hospitalized after then being hit by another vehicle on Friday morning.
While traveling eastbound on Interstate 80 east of Elkhorn Boulevard at around 2:40 a.m., the woman was involved in a crash that disabled her Honda Pilot. Once the vehicle had stopped, it was blocking two of the center lanes. A man traveling eastbound on I-80 in a Chevrolet Express then hit the woman.
The woman was transported to a local hospital with major injuries. Neither driver is suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol, but an investigation is ongoing.
