Sacramento, CA - Driver Hospitalized After I-80 Accident at Antelope Rd

Sacramento, CA (April 4, 2025) – California Highway Patrol (CHP) troopers said that a driver was taken to the hospital following a crash that blocked multiple eastbound lanes on Interstate 80 in Sacramento County Friday.

The crash occurred between Antelope Road and Greenback Lane around 2:50 p.m., when a male driver in his 60s swerved and hit the center divide to avoid crashing into slowed-down traffic ahead, CHP said. The driver then backed into another lane, crashing into another vehicle and overturning.

At least one person was hospitalized in the incident. However, the events leading up to the collision remain unknown, and it's unclear if anybody else was hurt. The investigation continues at this time, and no further details have been released.
