Sacramento, CA - Deadly Motorcycle Crash on Hwy 16 Under Inquiry

Sacramento, CA (February 17, 2025) – A motorcyclist on a Harley-Davidson died after a crash with a Chevrolet sport utility vehicle early Sunday in the small town of Esparto in Yolo County, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The crash was reported at about 2:15 a.m. Sunday in the westbound lane of Highway 16, just east of Parker Place on the north end of an Esparto residential neighborhood, the CHP Woodland Area Office announced Monday morning in a news release. The motorcyclist died from injuries suffered in the two-vehicle crash.

The CHP did not provide any other details about the motorcyclist, however. According to officials, the investigation continues at this time, and no further details were released.
