Pomona, CA - Two Dead, Child Hurt in Wrong-Way Collision on 60 Fwy

Pomona, CA (March 23, 2025) – Two women were killed, and a 1-year-old child was severely injured when a wrong-way driver crashed into their car on the 60 Freeway in Pomona on March 22, authorities said.

The crash happened around 11:00 p.m. on the westbound 60, just west of Reservoir Street, according to the California Highway Patrol. A 24-year-old man is accused of driving the wrong way on westbound lanes and crashing head-on into a Honda Civic vehicle carrying three people.

Two women in the victims' vehicle - a 29-year-old driver and 39-year-old passenger - died in the crash. A 1-year-old child in the Civic suffered "major injuries" and was taken to a hospital. After the initial crash, authorities say the suspect's car spun out and hit another car. The victim of the second collision was hospitalized with minor injuries.
