Placer Co, CA - Woman Killed in Semi-Truck Accident on Grass Valley Hwy

Placer County, CA (December 24, 2024) – A woman died in a Monday morning car crash in the North Auburn of Placer County, the California Highway Patrol troopers confirmed on Tuesday.

CHP was dispatched around 5:55 a.m. to Grass Valley Highway south of Joeger Road. A Pontiac Firebird traveling southbound was involved in a head-on crash with a northbound propane truck, CHP said. The 45-year-old driver of the Firebird died from her injuries at the scene.

The driver of the truck was assessed at the scene by EMTs, but their current condition is unknown.  Authorities are investigating the incident, and no further details have been released at this time, however. Witnesses were asked to step forward.
