Palmdale, CA – Suspected DUI Driver Arrested After Fatal Multi-Vehicle Collision at 90th St E

Palmdale, CA (September 24, 2025) – Authorities have arrested a 47-year-old man suspected of driving under the influence following a fatal collision in Palmdale on Monday evening, September 22. The crash, which involved multiple vehicles, occurred near the intersection of 90th Street East and Palmdale Boulevard at approximately 6:50 p.m.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), officers arrived on scene after reports of a serious traffic accident involving a maroon Kia, a gray Infiniti G35, and a white Chevrolet Avalanche pickup truck. Preliminary findings indicate that the maroon Kia was traveling southbound on 90th Street East at a high rate of speed. Investigators stated the driver failed to stop at a red traffic signal and entered the intersection, colliding with the Infiniti, which was traveling eastbound on Palmdale Boulevard.

The force of the collision caused the Infiniti to lose control and strike the Chevrolet Avalanche, which had been stopped at the red light. The driver of the Infiniti, an 18-year-old resident of Littlerock, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Authorities are withholding the victim’s identity pending notification of family members.

The driver of the Kia was taken into custody at the scene on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Additional charges are expected to follow as the investigation continues. CHP officers secured the crash site while emergency responders assessed the scene, removed the damaged vehicles, and documented evidence. The intersection remained affected for several hours during the investigation.
