Oxnard, CA – Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run on Naumann Rd near Etting Rd

Oxnard, CA (November 11, 2025) – Authorities are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a pedestrian on Saturday, November 8, along Naumann Road, just south of Etting Road in Oxnard.

According to a statement from the California Highway Patrol – Ventura Area, dispatchers received a call around 11:52 p.m. reporting a traffic collision involving fatal injuries. Upon arrival, officers located a man who had been struck while walking northbound on Naumann Road.

Preliminary findings indicate that the pedestrian was walking along the roadway when he was hit by a northbound vehicle traveling at an unknown speed. The impact of the collision propelled the victim into a Dodge Challenger parked on the shoulder of Naumann Road. Tragically, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency personnel.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian fled before the arrival of law enforcement and emergency responders. Authorities have not yet identified the suspect or the vehicle involved in the crash.

The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding this fatal hit-and-run and is asking anyone with information about the vehicle or driver to contact the Ventura Area office.
