Newberry Park, CA (May 7, 2025) - Two people were killed in a two-vehicle crash in Newbury Park on Tuesday, May 6, authorities said.

Deputies with the Thousand Oaks station responded to the collision near the area of Via Las Brisas and Calle Del Prado shortly after 4:00 p.m. The collision was near Harvest Moon/Heritage Community Park.

Ventura County Sheriff's Office Capt. Mike McConville confirmed the two deaths and said several deputies were out at the scene assisting, redirecting traffic, and investigating the crash. The intersections at Via Las Brisas and Via Rio and Via Las Brisas and Calle Del Prado were closed as a result of the incident, he said.
