N Highlands, CA - Bicyclist Hit & Killed in Crash on Roseville Rd & Longview Dr

North Highlands, CA (January 17, 2025) – A bicyclist died after being hit by a semi-truck in North Highlands on Thursday, January 16, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP said the crash occurred on Roseville Road at Longview Drive when the semi-truck began to make a right turn and collided with the biker on the right. Officials identified the bicyclist as a woman in her 50s. The driver remained on the scene after the crash.

Lane closures were in place near the intersection as CHP investigated the crash. CHP said DUI is not suspected; that said, according to officials, the investigation continues at this time, and no further details were released.
