Monterey, CA (November 2, 2025) – A pedestrian was killed on Friday, October 31, following a vehicle collision on North Fremont Street near Ramona Avenue in Monterey. The Monterey Police Department reported that the crash occurred at approximately 7:04 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers located a pedestrian suffering from critical injuries after being struck by a vehicle traveling along North Fremont Street. Despite prompt emergency medical assistance, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The deceased was later identified as a 52-year-old male resident of the area.

Authorities confirmed that there were no signs of impairment or reckless driving. The motorist remained on scene and cooperated fully with investigators. Monterey police have classified the incident as an accident, and no arrests or citations have been issued at this stage.
