Modesto, CA - Two Critically Hurt in Vehicle Crash on Briggsmore Ave

Modesto, CA (February 12, 2025) – Two people were injured, one of them critically, in a crash Monday night on Briggsmore Avenue in the Claus Road area, according to the Modesto Fire Department.

Shortly before 7:30 p.m., crews were dispatched on a report of a crash with occupant entrapment and fire. They found two patients, one of whom had been ejected from the car during the crash. The other person turned out not to be trapped in the car.

An American Medical Response ambulance crew took one patient to a hospital emergency department for treatment. An EMS crew began advanced life-support care to the critically injured second patient before that person, too, was taken to a hospital.

That said, authorities have not yet released information regarding the cause of the incident; however, the California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident to determine the cause of the collision.
