Los Angeles, CA – Pedestrian Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Harbor Fwy

Los Angeles, CA (October 7, 2025) – A pedestrian was killed early Tuesday, October 6, in a multi-vehicle crash on the Harbor (110) Freeway in South Los Angeles. The California Highway Patrol responded to the incident at approximately 1:37 a.m. near the southbound lanes of the freeway at the West Florence Avenue exit.

Upon arrival, officers located the pedestrian, who had sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, the individual was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim’s identity, including age and gender, has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.

The crash prompted authorities to issue a SigAlert, resulting in the closure of all southbound lanes of the freeway at the Florence Avenue exit. After more than four hours, officials reopened two lanes at approximately 5:40 a.m., allowing traffic to begin moving through the affected area.
