Los Angeles, CA (March 7, 2025) – California Highway Patrol Quincy responded to a truck accident on Wednesday morning, March 5.
CHP Quincy said that the incident happened on State Route 89, north of Calpine, at around 10:00 a.m.
When crews arrived at the scene they found a 36-year-old male driver from Calpine who was trapped inside one of the vehicles, according to authorities. Graeagle Fire mechanically removed him from the wreckage and was transported to Renown with serious injuries, said CHP Qunicy.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, and it's unclear if anybody else was hurt in the incident; no further details have been released at this time, however. Witnesses were asked to step forward.
