Los Angeles, CA – Injuries Follow Fiery Crash at Venice Blvd & S. Saint Andrews Pl

Los Angeles, CA (August 24, 2025) – A high-speed police pursuit ended in a violent crash Saturday afternoon, August 23, in the Harvard Heights neighborhood, leaving two people injured.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the pursuit began around 5 p.m. and lasted less than a minute before the suspect’s vehicle slammed into another car at the intersection of Venice Boulevard and S. Saint Andrews Place. The impact caused one of the vehicles to catch fire.

The suspect, who had been driving a reportedly stolen vehicle, attempted to flee the scene on foot. Police officers quickly apprehended him nearby. Witnesses noted that, for unknown reasons, he was only wearing a t-shirt at the time of his arrest.

Los Angeles Fire Department crews confirmed that two people were taken to a hospital with injuries. While their exact conditions were not released, authorities stated the injuries were not considered life-threatening.
