Los Angeles, CA (October 30, 2025) – A two-vehicle traffic accident with injuries occurred Wednesday evening near West Adams Boulevard in Los Angeles, leaving one or more individuals hurt and prompting an active police search for a hit-and-run driver. The collision took place around 5:27 p.m., according to dispatch communications.
Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department and emergency medical personnel responded to reports of a crash involving two vehicles. Upon arrival, first responders located one damaged vehicle with a visible front-end impact in the roadway, while the second vehicle had fled the scene heading westbound on Adams Blvd.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department assessed the driver and passengers of the remaining vehicle. At least one person was reported injured and received on-site medical attention before being transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The extent of injuries has not yet been disclosed.
LAPD officers initiated a hit-and-run investigation, collecting evidence from the scene and interviewing witnesses to identify the suspect vehicle. The roadway was temporarily closed to allow crews to clear debris and document the scene. Tow trucks were called to remove the disabled vehicle, and traffic delays were reported in the surrounding area.
Authorities have not released additional details regarding the fleeing vehicle or its driver, but confirmed that efforts are underway to locate and apprehend the suspect. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact local law enforcement.
We wish the victim and everyone involved a speedy recovery.

Hit and run accidents continue to be a major issue across Los Angeles and Southern California. According to the California Office of Traffic Safety, Los Angeles County consistently records one of the highest rates of hit-and-run collisions in the nation, with thousands of cases reported annually. These crashes often result in serious injuries and, in some cases, fatalities, leaving victims without immediate help at the scene.
Hit-and-run drivers often flee due to intoxication, lack of insurance, or fear of legal consequences. However, leaving the scene of an accident involving injury or death is a felony under California Vehicle Code §20001. Law enforcement agencies, including the LAPD’s Traffic Division, use surveillance footage, witness accounts, and license plate data to track down responsible parties.
