Long Bch., CA – Motorcyclist Killed in Collision with SUV at 11th St & Redondo Ave

Long Beach, CA (September 1, 2025) – A motorcyclist lost his life in a tragic crash with an SUV in Long Beach on the evening of August 30. The Long Beach Police Department reported that the collision occurred at approximately 9:01 p.m. at the intersection of 11th Street and Redondo Avenue.

Emergency crews, including the Long Beach Fire Department, responded quickly to the scene. Despite their efforts to provide lifesaving measures, the rider was pronounced dead at the crash site.

Authorities confirmed that the incident involved a 2010 KTM motorcycle traveling southbound on Redondo Avenue and a 2006 Toyota Sequoia traveling eastbound on 11th Street. The crash occurred when the SUV crossed Redondo Avenue and collided with the motorcycle.

Police reported that the driver of the SUV remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Officers later placed the driver under arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter. Bail was set at more than $100,000. Investigators continue to look into impaired driving as a possible factor in this fatal collision.
