Long Beach, CA (September 13, 2025) – A tragic incident occurred on Thursday afternoon, September 11, in Long Beach when a woman was struck and killed while crossing the street in a marked crosswalk. The collision took place near Long Beach Boulevard and 68th Street at approximately 12:15 p.m.
The victim, a woman whose identity has not been released, was transported to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The driver, identified as 65-year-old Eric Dewayne Moody of Los Angeles, initially fled the scene but returned around 40 minutes later.
