Julian, CA (December 1, 2025) - At least one person was killed on November 30 in a head-on collision on San Felipe Road near Scissors Crossing, according to Cal Fire. The crash occurred shortly after 3:00 p.m. Emergency crews responded, closed both lanes, and began rescue efforts while officers opened an investigation.
Cal Fire stated that two vehicles collided head-on, causing at least one car to catch fire. Responders extinguished the flames and used extrication tools to remove a trapped occupant. One person required CPR at the scene, and two others suffered major injuries. Four people were airlifted to hospitals for urgent treatment. Five fire engines and medical units assisted with patient care. The identity of the deceased has not been released.
Authorities have not provided a verified explanation for how the crash happened. The roadway will reopen after cleanup concludes. Updates may be issued later through official channels.
