The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the driver as Adrian Anthony Mangiavillano of Spring Valley. The collision occurred Saturday around 2:30 a.m. eastbound on Skyline Truck Trail, located east of Castle Peak Lane, Officer Jasmine Lopez with the California Highway Patrol said in a news release on Monday.
The impact of the crash caused him to be ejected from the vehicle, CHP said. The driver was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. It is unknown at this time if driving under the influence was a factor in the collision. Meanwhile, authorities are urging witnesses or anyone with information about the crash to come forward; in the interim, an investigation is still ongoing.
