Hesperia, CA (August 12, 2025) – A female pedestrian was airlifted to a trauma center after being struck by a train in Hesperia on Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred around 3:16 p.m. on August 9, along the 10100 block of Hesperia Road, between Lemon and Mojave streets.

Crews from the San Bernardino County Fire Department arrived at the scene and located the injured woman on the east side of the roadway, next to the train tracks. A Union Pacific locomotive was stopped at the scene. Officials reported that the woman was breathing when emergency responders reached her. Due to the severity of her injuries, she was transported by ground ambulance to the helipad at Desert Valley Hospital. From there, she was flown via a Mercy Air helicopter to a nearby trauma hospital for further care.
