Fresno, CA - Two Hospitalized After Truck Accident on Hwy 145

Fresno, CA (March 10, 2025) – An investigation is underway after a truck was hit while waiting at a stop sign in Fresno County, the California Highway Patrol announced.

Officers report that on Sunday at around 5:50 p.m., they responded to a crash at the intersection of Highway 145 and Ashlan Avenue just north of Kerman. Investigators say a blue pickup truck was traveling northbound on Highway 145, approaching a white vehicle stopped at a stop sign. The white vehicle was waiting for southbound traffic to pass to make a left turn onto Ashlan Avenue.

CHP says for reasons yet to be determined, the blue pick-up truck turned onto the right dirt shoulder and then collided with the driver’s side of a white truck stopped at westbound Ashlan Avenue. Officers say two people were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, though the cause of the crash is under investigation.
