Fresno, CA - Man Dies in Truck Accident at Elkhorn & Marks Aves

Fresno, CA (March 21, 2025) – A man was killed after two trucks crashed in Fresno County on Friday afternoon, March 21. The crash happened around 1:30 p.m. in the area of Elkhorn and Marks Avenues, south of Caruthers.

The California Highway Patrol says the driver of the pickup truck pulled out of the parking lot of Elkhorn Market when a big rig slammed into the pickup before flipping onto its side and spilling almond shells along the roadway.

The driver of the pickup truck, identified as an 80-year-old man, died at the scene. It's unclear if the other driver was hurt. The cause of the crash is under investigation; no further details have been released at this time, however. Witnesses were asked to step forward.
