Fresno, CA - Man Dead in Pedestrian Accident at Hughes & Michigan Aves

Fresno, CA (February 28, 2025) – A man is dead after being hit by a vehicle in Fresno on Thursday evening, February 27, officers with the Fresno Police Department reported.

Officers say they responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision in the area of Hughes and Michigan Avenues around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Upon arrival, police said they found a man on the roadway. Preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle was traveling southbound and struck the pedestrian, a man in his 30s, causing serious injuries.

He was hospitalized but was later pronounced deceased. According to investigators, the driver involved in this crash stayed on the scene. In the meantime, however, no further details were released as an investigation is still ongoing.
