Fresno, CA (June 5, 2025) – A Fresno County Fire engine was involved in a crash with a Ford Bronco on Thursday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened just before noon at Maple and American Avenues. The firetruck was responding to a grass fire near the area and had its emergency lights on. The Ford entered the intersection just as the fire engine crossed its path. The front of the Bronco collided with the left side of the fire engine. It's unclear how many people were hurt. The cause of the crash is under investigation; no further details have been released at this time, however. Witnesses were asked to step forward.
Our thoughts are with those injured in this incident, and we hope for their quick recovery.
Truck collisions on California roadways often leave behind serious injuries, extensive property damage, and lasting emotional strain. Because commercial transportation is governed by layers of state and federal regulation, and because several parties may share responsibility, including drivers, carriers, and their insurers, knowing your rights after a crash is essential.
California’s trucking regulations set strict requirements for vehicle upkeep, cargo securement, driver rest periods, and more. When a carrier or driver ignores these rules, that violation can serve as powerful evidence of fault. Injured individuals may pursue compensation for medical bills, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other losses stemming from the wreck.
