Fremont, CA (June 29, 2025) – Officers responded to a car crash Sunday evening in Fremont, the Fremont Police Department said. The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of Mission Boulevard and Gurdawra Road.
Officers arrived at the site shortly thereafter and closed the roadway, and the road closure was expected to last about two hours until around 9:00 p.m., according to Fremont police. However, it's unclear how many vehicles or victims were involved, though EMTs also responded and assisted the injured. With that said, the investigation remains ongoing, and witnesses were asked to come forward.
Our thoughts are with the children and all families affected, and we wish those injured a full recovery.
Car Accidents in California
The Bay Area's busy roadways see a wide range of traffic incidents each year, including collisions that involve young passengers. In one recent year alone, over 250,000 injury crashes were reported across California. Crashes involving children are especially concerning, as even seemingly minor impacts can result in serious injuries due to their smaller size and vulnerability.
It’s important to know how to respond and protect your family after a crash. Here are the key points to remember:
- Seek Immediate Pediatric Medical Care: Children can suffer internal or emotional trauma that may not be immediately apparent. Quick evaluation is critical for their well-being.
- Document the Accident Thoroughly: Take photos, gather witness contact information, and ensure the police report includes details about all occupants, including children.
- Secure a Crash Report: Law enforcement documentation helps establish liability, which is particularly important when minors are injured.
- Track Long-Term Impact: Injuries in children may affect their development, school attendance, and mental health. These factors can be included in a claim for compensation.
- Consult Legal Support Early: Claims involving children can involve additional considerations, and it’s essential to have a legal team that understands how to pursue full compensation for current and future needs.
If your child has been hurt in a crash, speak with a car accident lawyer as soon as possible. A legal advocate can help protect your child’s rights and secure the financial support needed for their recovery.
