El Cajon, CA (December 28, 2024) – A man who died last week after being struck by a vehicle while walking across the street in El Cajon has been identified.

Richard Michael Santana, 63, was killed in the hit-and-run collision at 1368 East Main Street, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Around 5:15 p.m., authorities received a call about a pedestrian who had been struck by a truck. Police say a white 2005 Dodge Ram was traveling westbound along Main Street when it hit the pedestrian.
