Bakersfield, CA (March 30, 2025) – A hit-and-run crash occurred late Saturday night in South Bakersfield, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Officers responded to reports of a vehicle striking a pedestrian at the intersection of South Union Avenue and White Lane around 10:45 p.m. on Saturday, March 29. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, and it's unknown if that person is in custody at this time. The cause of the incident remains under investigation, however.
