Bakersfield, CA - Man Hit & Killed in Pedestrian Collision on Union Ave

Bakersfield, CA (February 26, 2025) – A man was struck and killed by a vehicle Tuesday night on Union Avenue, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

Police say the crash happened before 11:00 p.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of Union Avenue, near East 9th Street. Officers say the man was walking east across Union Avenue when he was hit by a Honda traveling northbound. The Honda driver remained at the scene and cooperated with BPD’s investigation. During the interim, an investigation was still ongoing, and witnesses were asked to come forward if they had additional information related to the accident.
