Bakersfield, CA - Fatal Vehicle Accident, Fire at Niles & Baker Sts

Bakersfield, CA (June 22, 2025) – Officers with the Bakersfield Police Department (BPD) reported a fatality in a fiery collision that occurred in east Bakersfield on Saturday evening, June 21.

At around 7:00 p.m., officers received reports of a collision along Niles Street, close to the Baker Street intersection. Arriving officers found two heavily damaged vehicles, both fully engulfed in flames. One of the drivers, a man, was found suffering major injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
