Bakersfield, CA - Bicyclist Killed in Collision on Edison Hwy at Mt Vernon Ave

Bakersfield, CA (March 2, 2025) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed at least one pedestrian on Edison Highway Friday evening, February 28. CHP troopers later confirmed that a bicyclist was struck.

The incident happened at around 6:51 p.m. when a black Chevrolet pick-up truck crashed into a pedestrian in the 2400 block of Edison Highway, east of Mount Vernon Avenue.
