Oceanside, CA – Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle at Mission Ave & Francesca Dr

Oceanside, CA (November 12, 2025) – Authorities in Oceanside are investigating a fatal vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision that occurred Monday evening, November 10, near the intersection of Mission Avenue and Francesca Drive.

According to a report from the Oceanside Police Department, officers responded to the scene at approximately 6:46 p.m. after receiving multiple calls about a serious crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers and emergency medical personnel located an adult male who had been struck by a black Chevrolet Tahoe traveling eastbound on Mission Avenue near Francesca Drive.

Despite immediate lifesaving measures performed by first responders, the pedestrian, identified as a resident of Oceanside, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Chevrolet Tahoe remained at the site and cooperated fully with law enforcement officials throughout the investigation. Preliminary findings indicate that drugs and alcohol are not believed to have been contributing factors in the crash.

Authorities temporarily restricted traffic in the area as members of the Oceanside Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team documented evidence and interviewed witnesses. The identity of the deceased individual is being withheld pending notification of family members.

The Oceanside Police Department continues to investigate the events leading up to the collision and will release additional information as it becomes available.
