Huntington Beach, CA (October 10, 2025) – The Huntington Beach Police Department is investigating a fatal collision that claimed the lives of a motorcyclist and a pedestrian on Thursday, October 9, at the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Ellis Avenue. Officers were dispatched at approximately 8:27 p.m. following reports of a serious crash involving a black Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a pedestrian.
Upon arrival, responding officers found both individuals unconscious in the roadway. Emergency personnel with the Huntington Beach Fire Department attempted life-saving measures, but both the motorcyclist and the pedestrian were pronounced dead at the scene.
According to preliminary findings, the motorcycle had been traveling southbound on Beach Boulevard when it struck the pedestrian, who was crossing the street outside of a marked crosswalk. It has not yet been determined whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident.
The HBPD Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team continues to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash. Further details will be released as the investigation develops.
