Modesto, CA - Man Dies in Motorcycle Accident on Albers Rd

Modesto, CA (August 3, 2025) – A 25-year-old Delhi man riding a motorcycle died in a crash on Friday morning, August 1, in Stanislaus County near Modesto, the California Highway Patrol said.

The crash occurred around 5:11 a.m. on Albers Road, just north of Dusty Lane. A northbound sedan slowed down before making a left turn onto private property. Four other vehicles, along with a motorcycle behind them, also slowed down, resulting in the crash.

The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet but was fatally injured. The driver of the sedan was uninjured. Drugs or alcohol are not suspected as contributing factors in the crash at this time, CHP said. The crash remains under investigation, according to CHP.

We extend our deepest condolences to the deceased man's family members.

Motorcycle Accidents in California

California’s motorcyclists ride with significantly less protection than those in passenger vehicles, making even minor collisions potentially devastating. Although riders represent a small fraction of all roadway users, they account for nearly 15% of traffic fatalities statewide. Lane-splitting, limited visibility, and the absence of a protective frame all heighten the dangers motorcyclists face. When a crash occurs, the physical and emotional toll can be overwhelming—often changing a rider’s life in an instant.

Common injuries in motorcycle accidents are rarely minor. Riders thrown from their bikes may suffer severe road rash, with skin and tissue damage that can lead to infections, permanent scarring, or require skin grafts. Broken bones are also prevalent, particularly in the arms, legs, ribs, and collarbones, and may necessitate surgery and long-term rehabilitation. Even when helmets are worn, traumatic brain injuries such as concussions or deeper cognitive damage can occur, leading to lasting impairments in memory, mood, or reasoning.

More serious impacts may cause spinal cord damage, resulting in paralysis or permanent loss of mobility. In some cases, internal bleeding or organ damage from blunt-force trauma may not be immediately visible, posing life-threatening risks if not treated urgently.
